Some casinos even hire professional gaming mathematicians and analysts to analyze their games and help them avoid cheating and theft.
Although the movie may not be as glamorous or flashy as other gangster movies like Goodfellas, Martin Scorsese’s Casino is nevertheless an outstanding thriller. De Niro’s performance as Ginger McKenna and Sharon Stone’s as the hot-headed hustler Santoro are superb, but it is Joe Pesci’s menacing turn as Lucchese gangster Tommy Scalise that really makes this movie stand out. At almost three hours long, Casino never lags or runs out of steam, and is a compelling watch from start to finish.
