How to Use a Slot in Architect

Slot

A slot is a narrow opening or groove in something, such as a mail slot. It is also a grammatical construction that specifies a single attribute of a person or object, such as “short sleeve.”

The word slot has many meanings. Some examples include a place, position, or job opening. It is also used to describe a narrow space, such as an aircraft flight track.

Architect understands multiple words or phrases that describe the same slot. It can respond to intent when mapping and can delete synonyms that it determines don’t fit with the slot’s description.

It can also create slot items from the keywords, properties and choosers in a slot type, or it can add them to a content object. These items are stored in separate repositories to your content, so they can be used for different applications and websites.

In the Web Components technology suite, slots are HTML elements that separate DOM trees. The format, structure and syntax of slots are the same as those of content types.

How to Use a Slot Function

A slot function can be a static or virtual function, a Lambda expression, a member function of a class, or a global function. It must be defined in the same manner as the class name. It cannot partially match slots, so it should never be used with a class name that is invalid or contains no slots.

The number of slots issued at an airport varies with its congestion level. It is declared by the airport slot coordinator and takes into account the capacity of the airport and various valuations of slots.
